…Natapos din ang camp…. But the memories; the laughters, the kwentuhan, the struggles ay mananatili sa ating puso at isipan… while I am looking at the camp manuals, I really can’t help to look back… grabe… so soverwhelmed… eto yung mga highlights ng experiences ko sa camp from 2003 to 2007…
2003
… My first camp with the southern Baptist, though I am a member of the southern Baptist… first time ko to… the theme is Youth Reloaded… purpose ko is just to enjoy the camp… (ganun ako mag-isip dati) take not ha just to enjoy… yun lang… pero di ko alam inuunti-unti na pala ako ng Diyos.
2004
Tara Tena Kabataan Mangarap Manampalataya Maglingkod… camper pa rin ako… pero unti unti akong naging aware sa kahalagahan ng youth camp dati mababaw lang ang approach ko sa camp, make friends and enjoy the camp, pero dito it somewhat changed… I’ve known the people who are behind the convention, but still I want to be a camper. (this is the time that I went out of TUP then enrolled at FEBIAS)
2005
Tara Tena 2… this camp got the largest number of delegates… this is where I became fully aware to the needs of the youth especially the campers, and also the camp staffs… salat na salat… and I felt that they need help (I hear Superman OST playing) hehehe… then I started committing to God my plan to help the Youth Department just in small things, be it an attendee of monthly mentorship which is held in LCSBC office, and also help camp staffs do their stuffs… (I graduated BBC then entered freshmen year)
2006
JGXC… i.e. Joshua Generation Extra Challenge, I was a camp staff… part of the Teambuilders, and an assistant counselor… isa ito sa mga pinakamakabuluhan kong camp… this is where I added Psalm 37:4 on my life verse, many things happened, many lessons learned… being a camp staff, and being a Teambuilder… and to that I felt the gratification of serving God… but still God as a lot more to do in my life…
2007
JGXC Dive Deeper, Soar Higher! astig na camp, sobrang bilis… I don’t know why… maybe because of the hectic schedule… I was part of the Teambuilders and also a camp staff… and a small group leader and of course it was my first time, same with my assistant, but thank God all is well, nagugulat ako sa assistant ko hehehe… basta if you would hear her speak you will learn and get many insights… maraming nakakagulat na pangyayari…. gaya ng… yun… may malungkot at meron din naming masaya… but my experience? Nakakagulat, nakakakaba, at nakakasabik… nakakagulat, bakit? Di ko inaasahan na there are people who are praying for me and believes in me for that responsibility, nakakakaba, because I don’t know what will happen to LCSBC YD while I’m holding that responsibility, but I see things for it… saka nyo na malalaman yun… and only God knows… nakakasabik, because I know God will work in a very very unexplainable way, He will use many people, circumstances etc. for our growth, I believe that in this responsibility there will be lessons to be learned, mistakes to be corrected, and goals to be achieved, at siempre youths to be ministered to.
I am happy, nervous and excited in this ministry.
LET’S GET IT ON!!! ^_________^
